Meghann Henry

Meghann Henry is a theater director, facilitator, and arts administrator with 18 years of experience in theatre for young audiences (TYA) and nonprofit management. She is currently the Producing Artistic Director of Mesner Puppet Theater (MPT) in Kansas City, MO where she is leading the company through visioning a new future after the retirement of founder, Paul Mesner, after 30 years. Meghann has built a career out of using her leadership and program development skills to support organizations through moments of change. Previous change management roles include Program and Partnerships Director of Mirror Image Arts (Denver, CO), Director of Education at Mizel Arts and Culture Center (Denver, CO), and Director of Education at The Coterie Theater (Kansas City, MO ). For ten years, she served as the Associate Editor of TYA Today, a trade magazine focused on current trends in theatre for and with youth. She holds an MFA in theatre for young audiences from the University of Central Florida where her research focused on devising non-verbal movement-based theatre for 2-5-year-olds. She continues to freelance as a theater director and arts educator around the country and is in the process of building a consultancy practice to use her facilitation skills to assist businesses, education institutions, and nonprofits in achieving their culture and community building goals.
