Showing Up Open

This line begins on Day 1 with a stop at the first topic of the journey. Spend 90 minutes with your trainer learning about Resilience & Adaptability. If recent events have taught us anything it is to expect the unexpected. Our Resilience is the power each of us has to withstand external pressures and our Adaptability is the power to bounce back and creatively flex to meet the needs of unique circumstances as they arise. These super powers are already inside of you but they do need to be unlocked, cultivated, and honed in order to be there when you need them most. You’ll learn:
  • How the brain responds to change, the unexpected, and how to navigate your own responses
  • How to assess your situation and scan the environment for insights that reveal “what the moment requires"
  • How to use language intentionally to establish clarity and bind agreement with the people around you to get back on track
  • How to take a proactive approach through self-care and situational awareness to fortify yourself against future shocks

After an open lunch break to give your brain some rest, you’ll have an hour to put into practice what you just learned with your peers. Be sure to make note of what worked and what didn’t – your next stop is a debrief session with the trainer to equip you for your practice once you’re back in your day-to-day life. The day will wrap up with a Connect & Learn Rotating Roundtable to allow you additional opportunity to learn and grow with travel companions you haven’t interacted with yet.
